What does a Wedding Officiant do?
As an ordained minister, I can officiate your ceremony and sign your wedding license documents, but there is usually so much more that goes into creating, writing, and leading your rehearsal and ceremony. You want your ceremony to reflect your unique love story and include the elements that are meaningful to you as a couple. With over 30 years of experience as a wedding officiant, I can help you do just that.
In my opinion, there is no “right or wrong” way to organize a wedding ceremony. Each couple brings their own personality, experiences, and story to the relationship along with family, cultural, or faith traditions. I provide the tools to draw out and discover your love story, pull together the elements to express it, and write the script to lead you and your wedding party through the rehearsal and ceremony.
Most people have been to a few weddings and have an idea of what happens in a ceremony. You probably have an idea of what you liked or didn’t like at those ceremonies, but you are not sure of where to begin, what options to consider, or the flow of when each element happens. I have helped hundreds of couples walk through the process of creating a ceremony that reflects their unique story and relationship and I can help you do the same.
